Abstract

Introduction: To investigate the relationship between the expression of C-erbB-2, Ki67 and nm23 genes and the axillary lymph node metastasis of breast cancer and clinical significance of prognostic value of breast cancer.

Methods: 3The tissue samples of 424 breast cancer patients were detected by immunohistochemical S-P method for C-erbB -2, Ki67 and nm23 genes.

Results: The positive expression rates of C-erbB-2, Ki67 and nm23 in 424 cases were 56.13%, 53.30% and 50.47%, respectively. The positive expression rate of C-erbB-2 was 75.10% in 249 patients with axillary lymph node metastasis and 29.14% in 175 patients without axillary lymph node metastasis (OR = 11.82, P <0.001); The positive expression rates of Ki67 in the two groups were 70.68% and 28.57%, respectively (OR = 6.64, P < 0.001); the positive expression rates of nm23 in the two groups were 43.78% and 60.00%, respectively (OR = 0.32, P <0.001).

Conclusion: The positive expression of C-erbB-2 and Ki67 in breast cancer is positively correlated with the axillary lymph node metastasis of breast cancer. The positive expression of nm23 gene is negatively correlated with the axillary lymph node metastasis of breast cancer. Detecting the expression of C-erbB-2, Ki67 and nm23 genes combined with axillary lymph node metastasis and so on, and comprehensively analyzing the relationship between them is not only an important index for evaluating the prognosis of breast cancer patients, but also helpful for choosing and formulating a reasonable treatment plan.
